Major Meetings
Cardiovascular Imaging Theme – ESC Congress 2008
Cardiovascular imaging has become a key component in clinical cardiology. An ultra-fast technical revolution has provided three- and four-dimensional visualisation of the cardiovascular system. Automated quantitative software for echocardiography, nuclear imaging and cardiovascular magnetic resonance, together with cardiac computed tomography for non-invasive angiography, now provide comprehensive information about the heart and coronary arteries—from anatomy to function and perfusion—and form a cornerstone of therapeutic decision-making.
